CFL Panic-Black Tan doe
Welcome to Wildriver Rabbitry. My name is Natalie. I raise Mini Rex in Tort, Sable Point, Sable, Seal, Himalayan, Otter, Black and Broken. I also raise Black Tans and hope to add Blue Tans to my program in the future.
About the rabbitry:
Wildriver Rabbitry is currently located in Glide Oregon near Roseburg. I currently have a small rabbitry of 31 holes and a current herd of 27 rabbits. Even though I have a small herd, all of my breeding animals are great quality and I breed for quality and temperament only. A smaller herd allows me to offer better care and personal attention for each one of my rabbits.
I am a member of: ARBA and OLRCB(Oregon League of Rabbit and Cavy Breeders).

Left to right: Tort, Black, Broken Black and Broken Black Charlie at 3 weeks old.
About Me:
I started raising rabbits before 4-H. I had a mix breed doe that I bred to a sweet mix breed buck in hopes for a few more pet bunnies to enjoy. I ended up with 9 pet bunnies and was hooked on raising rabbits after that.
When I was old enough, I eagerly joined 4-H. I started out with mix breed pets from my previous years that I enjoyed for a little while. However, once I got more involved and experienced at raising rabbits, I decided to start raising pure breds. I realized that even though I loved my cute and cuddly mix breed bunnies, they would not help me succeed in my rabbit raising hobby so I started searching for that perfect breed. I tried out several different breeds including, Rex, Satins, English Lops, Velveteen Lops and even a few Mini Satins towards the end of my 4-H years. I enjoyed every one of them very much but the breed that impacted me the most were those Mini Rex. I couldn't get enough of them. Every other breed I tried to raise just didn't seem to compare to how much I enjoyed Mini Rex. I raised Tort Mini Rex steadily throughout 4-H and never once considered replacing them with any other breed. As I got older and more involved in raising rabbits, I decided that it would be a good idea to join the American Rabbit Breeders Association if I wanted to raise rabbits on a more serious level. Since my 4-H years have gone, I have enjoyed expanding my herd to more than just a few rabbits. I have eagerly added on new varieties such as Sable Point to my program which has expanded my knowledge of genetics to a whole new level. I have also enjoyed the privilege of making some excellent friends in the rabbit raising and showing world. Not only have these individuals offered their knowledge and excellent stock but they have also offered there friendship which I have appreciated very much.
